Featured in Bagpipe, this is a fantastic racing Thistle named Fogbanks. Fiberglass hull, dry and sturdy boat. The wood and lines are in fantastic condition. Sail fine tuning lines are color coded and reach the skipper. Comes with 2 sets of sails (1 used only once) + 1 Spinnaker, Carbon Fiber spin pole, and Aluminum tiller. Hull has a unique paint pattern that gives it its name. Slight visual spider cracking in the paint layer, hull is dry and has been sailed this way with no issues. Very sturdy trailer with spare included. All tires are in great shape. As...

1/19/21 Sale Pending Needs rails and the rest of the wood could use refinishing. All hardware removed in 2006 (its boxed and ready to be reinstalled) and the boat has been stored indoors since then. Wesco low profile trailer, could probably use some work also. The structure of the trailer is sound, it’s just been sitting for a long time. Hull is in excellent condition and has no stress cracks anywhere. Very stiff. Lots of sails and I’m sure as I start digging around I will find some covers and extras also.

This Great Midwest Thistle has had only two owners, Dan Reasoner and me. Lovingly cared for by each of us. For the past 14 years she has spent 95% of her time in the garage under cover, mostly coming out only when there is a regatta. This is a ‘turn-key’ boat, ready for Nationals as she sits today. Someone will have great success with her. (Free delivery to anyplace east of the Mississippi!) THIS THISTLE HAS A HAPPY NEW OWNER! THANKS FOR VIEWING & HAPPY THISTLING!!!

Beautifully maintained racer, built by Northwest One Design. Boat always stored in winters in heated garage. Fiberglass with black aluminum spars. Round head modification to rudder head and aluminum tiller. Two spinnaker poles and other gear. Mahogany/ash rails. Custom-built lowrider trailer with torsion suspension that tows like a dream. Trailer was galvanized-dipped and has fiberglass bunks that accurately match the shape of the hull. Trailer has a very cool centerboard shelf in front of the wheels. Comes complete with full set of traveling covers (bottom and top), a mast-up cover, and covers for the foils. Boat also comes complete with...

Clearing out space! These jibs have no damage but are a bit too tired for regattas (in my opinion). Jibs come with bags. The 2008 North Fisher (pictured) is probably still good enough for club racing - $75 (plus shipping) I also have a 2005 North Proctor, and 2008 Quantum for $50 each. These are probably best used for daysailing or practice days, and should have quite a few years left in them. I can send pics on request. Always stored indoors in the winter, and rolled - not folded. Buyer pays shipping, or we can arrange hand-off at...

Beautifully restored boat has been covered in my garage since 2001. Due to ongoing chronic lower back issues, it is time for someone else to take over the helm. Topside and transom are bright, hull is light blue. Old Shore sails are still usable, but no good for racing. Much Newer, used, Norths still have plenty of race in them (boat priced accordingly). Aro spars, wood/lead cb, wood ruder, new rails, fwd grating, 45 braces, and stanchions. Shock cord @ spin turtles and hiking straps has gone limp. Gator, breaking trailer w/bearing buddies and spare tire. Lights and wiring are...

I got this woodie 8 years ago to be raced and finally try and win the nationals after getting second twice. Everything I could think of that would make it the best was used. Lots of advice from Greg Griffin and Chris Pollock. Nationals in Jacksonville in 2021 was the goal but now that has changed. Here is what I have done: Custom foam cored super strong and light weight bow tank to eliminate the styrofoam. Round aluminum tiller and rudder head. Sea Sure pintles and gudgeons with bearings. All new wood except the seats and cb trunk, they were...

This boat has nothing but potential , a mast, newer top cover, rudder, and trailor. Use hull 1983 as your blank canvas for creating a completely custom rigging system and bottom color. Hull #1983 was at Dennison Univsersity, then in Detroit untouched to wither away in a parking lot. I acquired it and planned to race it, but never finished the work and ended up sailing #2905. Hull has been redone and primed - needs bottom paint. Rails need to be glued together and finished. Black mast is newer and fully rigged - needs boom (have wooden boom if interested)....

Thistle 2217 has been sitting on a trailer at Mission Bay YC for many years. I bought her to sail with my siblings, but due to changes in my life I'm unable to sail it. She sails fine, just needs a little TLC. The trailer is very rusty and is probably not roadworthy. Free to good home!
