SOLD to a new Thistler in Louisville KY.
I will be putting the boat away this week and won’t be back to Ohio until May.
I would like to find a new home for NESSIE NOW!

This Thistle is very original and had been in closed storage for 25 years when I found her 5 years ago. At that time I completely restored all the aged wood, including re-screwing and gluing the side rails under the advice and consultation with Doug Lauber. The mast is a “gold” mast repainted with green epoxy.
I had intended to retain all the original hardware and keep “Nessie” as original, but obviously that was not sensible. Everything has been updated with Harken items, except for a few of the Racelites that give her character.
The sails are Thomas’ and are in remarkably near new condition.
I bought this boat from the son of the original owner. It apparently was hardly sailed until it was put away in a garage for nearly 35 years!
Trailer is a quiet serviceable Pamco.
This would be a great boat for a casual family with potential to be upgrade to competitive racing level.
Obviously she will need a modern mast and new sails.
She is located at Put-in-Bay Ohio and we just won the Portsmouth class at ILYA Bayweek.
I would be willing to bring her ashore for inspection or delivery for a serious buyer or could deliver within a reasonable distance from Sandusky/Cleveland Ohio.
I live in Florida and will be in Ohio until the end of September. After that, the boat will be put away and will not be available until next May.
It would be great if we could get “NESSIE” to a new home ASAP!
