TCA Forum Policy

Forum Rules and Posting Guidelines

  1. Be respectful.
No flaming or abusing fellow forum members or any boat/class, sailing companies, etc. You are welcome to disagree with what others have posted and explain your perspective, but you must do so respectfully. Posts that break this rule will be removed, and offending users may lose posting access.
  1. Use the search tool before posting.
To make the forum most helpful, do a search of your topic before posting. If it makes sense to post your comment/question on an existing post, please do so.
  1. Post in relevant sub-forums. Do not cross-post questions.
Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum that makes the most sense for your question. Messages posted in the wrong topic area (or multiple areas) will be removed and placed in the correct sub-forum by moderators.
  1. Be specific in your post title (topic title).
Give a short summary of your problem in the title of your post to help people know whether they’re interested in reading more.
  1. Follow event posting guidelines.
Please post your events on the official Thistle Regattas and Events calendar (regattas, training sessions, learn to sails, etc.). The event listing on the official calendar should have everything a person would need to attend the regatta (date, time, address, NOR, special instructions, etc.). You may use this forum to announce your regatta and provide updates. We encourage you to link from this forum to the official calendar post.
  1. Do not post offensive posts, links or images
Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Material that is obscene, racist, or otherwise discriminatory is not permitted. Use common sense while posting. Offending posts will be deleted, and offending users may lose posting access at the discretion of the moderators.
