2022 Thistle Lake Michigan Districts Notice of Race

Island Bay Yacht Club, Springfield, Illinois

Racing is open to all members of Thistle class. Each boat must be equipped with all of the required safety gear as described by its class rules. Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2021-2024, the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association, the Rules of the IBYC, and the Sailing Instructions.

Schedule of events:

Saturday April 23
– 830 AM – Snack Bar Open and free doughnuts & Coffee in the snack bar lobby
– 830 AM – 11:30 – Check In and registration on lower patio area
– 12:00 – Competitors meeting.12:30 – Warning Signal
– Back to back racing
– 6:30 – Dinner at the Jr Pavilion front of IBYC

Sunday April 24
– Informal racing and practice day

Fees & Registration
$25 per boat. Payment must be made at registration in cash, online payment (PayPal or Venmo)
Dinner Fee: Pass the hat to cover beer, drinks, pizza expense.

Sailing Instructions
Will be available at registration.
