Submitting or Removing an Advertisment
Advertisements are provided as a non profit service of the Thistle Class
Association. In return, we ask that sellers send the buyer's contact information
to the webmaster (who will forward to the class secretary) as soon as your boat has sold. Please email your ad information directly to the webmaster
at webmaster@thistleclass.com.
(Please note that occasionally our page is targeted by scam artists. If the offer on your boat sounds
too good to be true, it probably is. Please beware of overseas offers and offers for more than the
listed price. If you would like to report fraud, one source is www.fraud.org.)
Placing an Advertisment
Please include the following in your email:
- Boat Number
- Price
- Description
- Location
- Contact Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
Note: In your description you may want to include things like manufacturer (GMW, NW1D, Fox, Clark, D&M, Shock, Spens, etc.),
sail inventory, covers, type of mast (black/silver, wood or Gold), type of boom (wood or aluminum), condition
of boat/centerboard/rudder, trailer and its condition, anything special about the rigging (race rigged?),
whether you will deliver somewhere else, etc.
Removing an Advertisment
Please include the following in your email:
- Boat Number
- Your Name
- Your Email Address
- Your Phone Number
- Buyer's Contact Name
- Buyer's Email Address
- Buyer's Mailing Address
- Buyer's Phone Number
